Charlestown Factoids
Today’s Charlestown is a neighborhood of Boston, but once it was its own city, and before that had been a settlement that stretched almost all the way to New Hampshire. Revolutionary patriot Paul Revere is said to have started his famous ride in Charlestown. The oldest commissioned vessel of the United States Navy is anchored here, too.
